Mine Equipment Operator

Job description

We are currently seeking a Mine Equipment Operator to join our team in Dalton, GA. This role is essential for conducting initial operation inspections and periodic checks on a wide range of equipment, including dozers, off-road trucks, excavators, and more. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter, capable of working independently and collaboratively, ensuring safe operation standards are met.   • High School diploma/GED with a minimum of two years of mobile equipment experience. A technical degree or certificate is a plus.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn new software for data input and email communication.
  • Physical capability for routine lifting and working at heights, including climbing on equipment, stairs, and scaffolds.
  • Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions, including dusty, noisy, and outdoor weather conditions.

Work conditions:

Full-time position with a schedule that includes 12-hour shifts, day and night shifts, overtime, and weekends as necessary. The role requires in-person work at our Dalton, GA location.


  • Safely and proficiently operate a variety of mining equipment.
  • Perform shift inspections, document maintenance needs, and conduct periodic checks during operations.
  • Engage in various mining and stockpiling duties, including loading trucks and managing stockpiles.
  • Participate in mine and plant safety, health, and environmental programs.
  • Be willing to work weekends as required and other duties as assigned.
