Job description
Seeking an experienced CNC Machine Programmer to join our team. This role involves creating and optimizing CNC programs for the production of medical device implants and systems in our multi-axis machining centers. This position is essential for ensuring efficient production processes and high-quality output in accordance with our rigorous standards.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in engineering or related field is a plus.
- At least 5 years of experience in CNC programming, with a proven track record of creating effective CNC programs.
- Proficiency in PartMaker and Fusion 360 software.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work precisely and effectively under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and training skills, capable of educating others on complex technical processes.
Work conditions:
Standard work schedule includes an 8-hour shift, Monday through Friday, with expectations for 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize machining processes and programs for the production of medical implants using multi-axis machining centers.
- Analyze technical drawings and specifications to determine the dimensions and configuration of cuts, selecting appropriate cutting tools, machine speeds, and feeds.
- Debug and test CNC programs, making adjustments to optimize production efficiency.
- Write setup sheets and tool lists to guide the setup and operation of CNC machines.
- Train production operators on new CNC machine controls and tools.
- Conduct cutting tool evaluations and cost analysis, implementing new technologies to enhance production.
- Recommend cost of goods sold improvements by analyzing cycle times, tooling enhancements, and raw material usage.
- Maintain detailed 3D models using CAD software, specifically for machining purposes.
- Use PartMaker and Fusion 360 software to generate accurate and efficient machining programs.
