Machine Operator
Requirements:
- Machine setups for production runs.
- Mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- High school level knowledge for calculations, accurate record-keeping, and effective interaction.
- Typically requires 1-3 months of bakery experience for preparation and training to meet quality and quantity standards.
Work conditions:
Capability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Availability to work a 12-hour shift from 1:30pm-1:30am (days will vary).
Responsibilities:
- Place trays with product into empty racks or baskets on stacks, tagging those racks/stacks properly.
- Keep track of completed orders and monitor for non-conforming products.
- Assist roll line operators in identifying and discarding non-conforming products and aiding with product changeovers.
- Ensure trays are stacked neatly and evenly to facilitate unstacking.
- Maintain a steady flow of trays to machines to keep machines running at desired speed, addressing any tray jam-ups or double trays.
- Assist with cleanup duties in baggers, palletizing/stacking areas.
- Ensure that all baggers, slicers, APHs, and tiers are powered off after use.
- Remove all carts/dollies, barrels, shovels, etc., from the work area, ensuring items are properly stored.
