Job description
This entry-level Machine Operator position involves operating blow-mold, grinders, trimmer machines, and conveyor systems. The role includes troubleshooting, minor maintenance, and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure efficient production.
Requirements:
- Basic math and computer skills.
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Complete Machine Operator I training within 90 days of hire
- Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and arms.
- Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds.
Work conditions:
Exposure to moving mechanical parts in a production environment.
Loud noise levels.
Fluctuating temperatures.
Personal protective equipment required in designated areas.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Operate various blow-mold machines to produce quality bottles, performing audits, weights, and quality checks.
- Adhere to quality control procedures and blow mold process.
- Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on machines and support equipment.
- Adjust machines to meet product specifications.
- Learn preventive maintenance, mold changes, and mechanical adjustments.
- Manage waste by grinding excess material.
- Resolve process problems with guidance from Lead Operator or Supervisor.
- Complete maintenance request forms and document equipment repairs.
- Prepare and document daily production reports, tracking rejects, regrinds, line efficiencies, etc.
- Other duties as assigned, which may vary by plant.
