Job description
We are seeking an experienced Millwright to join our team in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have experience with basic welding and cutting, setting bearings, general maintenance, and the alignment of pulleys. This position will involve both work in the branch workshop and significant time spent at customer sites.
Requirements:
- Valid unrestricted driver's license
- Comfortable working outdoors, at heights, underground, or in confined areas
- Willingness to receive MSHA training
- Compliance with federal regulations on mandatory drug testing
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to read work orders and use tools and equipment
- Basic rigging, lifting, and slinging skills
- Technical training in a related field (a plus)
- At least 3 years of millwright experience
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Ability to lift and load equipment into a vehicle and unload at repair sites
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Mechanical skills are helpful

Responsibilities:
- Install and repair industrial machinery and equipment
- Operate basic hand and power tools to complete maintenance tasks
- Perform laser alignment of pulleys, drives, and gearboxes
- Perform basic welding and cutting, including stick, wire, plasma, and gouging
- Set bearings on the conveyor system
- Conduct general maintenance on various types of warehouse equipment
- Use cranes, forklifts, hoists, pulleys, and rollers to complete tasks effectively
- Operate machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate parts required for machinery maintenance, overhaul, or setup
