Job description
Seeking an experienced Millwright to join our team in Columbus, OH. The ideal candidate will have experience in basic welding, cutting, bearing setting, general maintenance, and alignment of pulleys. This position requires working both in the workshop and at customer sites, with at least 75% of the time spent traveling. The role also includes performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and fabricating parts as needed.
Requirements:
- Valid unrestricted driver's license
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Comfortable working outdoors, at heights, underground, or in confined spaces
- Must be willing to receive MSHA training
- Compliance with federal regulations on mandatory drug testing
- Willingness to travel and work at remote locations
- Willingness and ability to work overtime and/or irregular hours
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to read work orders and use tools and equipment
- Technical training in heavy-weight conveyor belting (preferred)
- At least 3 years of millwright experience
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Ability to lift and load equipment into vehicle and unload at repair sites

- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of mechanical equipment issues both in-shop and at customer sites
- Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up
- Comprehend conveyor dynamics and material handling fundamentals
- Perform routine maintenance work on machinery
- Assemble machinery prior to installation
- Start-up and testing of equipment
- Understand and read engineered blueprints and drawings
- Shutdown operations as required
- Perform rigging and handling tasks
- Handle bearing, seals, and packing
- Keep work area and equipment in a safe, clean, and orderly condition
- Operate equipment and perform duties in a safe and satisfactory manner
- Manage time effectively and efficiently
- Document work accurately, including timelines
- Experience with bulk material handling (asset)
- Laser alignment of pulleys, drives, and gearboxes
